FAQs

How do I try it out for no charge ?

From your mobile, call 1300 448738.

  1. At the prompt enter in the mobile number of the person you want to send a message to (mobile only - it can even be your number :-)

  2. At the prompt speak your message and then hangup

  3. That's it! Your mobile number now has a ReVmail account and you can send 4 more ReVmails for free.

  4. Then you just need to register and you can manage your ReVmails from the web. Topup with $5 to GiV ReV more.

 Can I setup a ReVmail Greeting ?

Yes! Once registered (go to the register link at www.revmail.com.au) you can record a voicemail greeting so that if anyone GiVes you ReVmail - they will hear your greeting first. Neat !

  1. Dial the ReVmail retrieve number (02 82 11 11 11) from your mobile
(or if from another number you will have to enter you mobile number first and then your Passcode)

  2. After listening to any revmails (you can skip by pressing 6) press 0

  3. Follow the prompts to record your new greeting and press #    .... DONE ! you can now hangup.

But I can't always remember the numbers I want to ReVmail !!! Help !!!

We know that bit is a pain, that is why we are developing a contacts secion in the ReVmail website, and also a search facility, BUT there is a neat way of adding to your contacts (or phone book) to make it really easy. You just need to add in an entry which includes the 1300 448 738 number, plus a pause, and then your contact's number and HASH, as follows:  1300448738,04XXNNNNNN#  (where XXXNNNNNN is your contact's number)

  • For IPhone users:  DOWNLOAD THE REVMAIL APP! - it makes it all very easy.

    • or : Edit your contact, and select "add new phone", type in 1300448738, tap the "+*#" and tap "pause" then enter in your contacts mobile number. Select "Other" or create a Revmail category and Save. Next time you want call - consider the ReVmail option.

  • For Nokia users: Add a number (suggest General type) to your contact in your Names database, but instead of the comma, press the # key (below 9) twice to display the letter "p", and then enter in the mobile number so it looks like : 1300448738p04XXNNNNN#. Don't forget the HASH! It works great

  • Most mobiles allow the above but some mobile phones will not allow you to store the # key ... so you have to remember to press this at the end.:-(

How much will it cost me ?

We won't charge you to listen to your messages - but it's worthwhile registering on our website for better services (e.g. email delivery).

Otherwise check out the basic charges on our homepage or contact us to ask specific cost questions. (sales@revmail.com.au)

Can I cancel my subscription ?

Of course you can - at anytime. Just email us (support@revmail.com.au) or simply let your credit balance expire (normally 30 days).

But we can't stop other people GiVing you ReVmail ... its your choice to listen to the message (no ReVmail charge) or to tell them to stop.

NOTE: We can't stop people from ReVving you, just like  a phone company can't stop people from calling or texting you.

How do I know if my message has been listened too?

If you register you can view the status of messages you leave for other people in the EVENTS section. (Future releases may allow email or text noftication).

Why is it better than the one my telco gives me?

  1. Well firstly: it's no rip-off

  2. Secondly: we offer more services and functions for both sending and recieving voice message

  3. Thirdly: we are cheaper than most (not all), and

  4. Finally: its the caller who pays for and controls the voice message.

Why would I use it?

  1. Because you hate being ripped off by the Telco's?

  2. Because this gives you more features like web and email notification?

  3. Because there are people you know who never setup voicemail and you want to send them a message?

  4. Because sometimes you don't want to actually call someone, you just want to leave them a message, and voice is nicer than text?

Can I have an anonymous voicemailbox?

Yes - Once registered you can goto the LOGIN ADMIN page and select the "anonymous" tick box. Any ReVmail you send after this will not show your name or phone number.

How can I use this as my normal voicemail system?

Yes, its call ReVmail Direct!. If you just want to replace you mobile voicemail then we can give you a number (a DID, your own dedicated number) which you will set as your voicemail divert if you are busy or out of coverage. You can divert landline numbers too so you can combine your voicemails into one. Just email us (mailto:sales@revmail.com.au) and ask.

Future Features  - In Development right now!

Can I use a landline?

Yes. Once registerd with your mobile you WILL be able to dial from normal landline number, log into your account and GIV REV - or register a landline number to your account.
